The Awakening After 2,730 Years

Our Jewish brothers are about to witness something astounding – the return of long-lost family. The scattered seed of Ephrayim (אֶפְרַיִם), whose name in Hebrew means “double fruitfulness” (from the root פָּרָה – parah, “to bear fruit, be fruitful”; Brown-Driver-Briggs), is stirring from slumber. The Ruach (רוּחַ) – the breath, wind, or spirit of YaHuWaH – is breathing upon dry bones once again. These bones, long buried under layers of religion, exile, and forgetfulness, are coming together – bone to bone, flesh to flesh – until the whole House (בַּיִת – bayit, meaning “household, family, dwelling”) of Yisra’El stands once more as one nation under the reign of our King, Yahusha HaMashiach.

YaHuWaH promised through the prophet Yeḥezqel (יְחֶזְקֵאל), whose name means “El strengthens”:

Say to them, ‘Thus said the Master YaHuWaH, “See, I am taking the children of Yisra’El from among the nations wherever they have gone, and shall gather them from all around, and I shall bring them into their land. And I shall make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Yisra’El. And one sovereign shall be sovereign over them all. And let them no longer be two nations, and let them no longer be divided into two reigns.”’”
– Yeḥezqel (Ezekiel)‬ ‭37:21-22‬

The phrase “I am taking” in Hebrew is לָקַח – laqach, meaning “to take, receive, bring to oneself.” It implies possession and covenant restoration. YaHuWaH is reclaiming His scattered sons – not creating a new people, but gathering His own.

RISE UP HEBREWS – The Math on the Curse of Ephrayim

When Ephrayim was taken into captivity by Ashshur (אַשּׁוּר – Assyria), the punishment pronounced through the prophet Yeḥezqel carried a prophetic duration:

Then lie on your left side, and place the punishment of the house of Yisra’El upon it. For the number of the days that you lie on it, you shall bear their punishment. For I assign to you a number of days, 390 days, equal to the number of the years of their punishment.” – Yeḥezqel (Ezekiel)‬ ‭4:4-5‬

The word “punishment” is from the Hebrew עָוֹן – avon, meaning “iniquity, guilt, or consequence of wrongdoing” (BDB). It refers not merely to sin itself but to the resulting state of exile or estrangement caused by covenant breach.

Their Assyrian captivity began in 721 BCE. Their initial punishment was to last 390 years. However, as recorded in Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 26:21, YaHuWaH declared a multiplication of the punishment if repentance did not occur:

‘And if you walk contrary to Me, and refuse to obey Me, I shall bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins.’”
– Wayyiqra (Leviticus)‬ ‭26:21‬

The key Hebrew term for “contrary” is קֶרִי – qeri, meaning hostile, stubborn, obstinate resistance (Gesenius). It describes a cold, indifferent heart that refuses correction.

Because Ephrayim did not repent, the curse became sevenfold greater:
390 years × 7 = 2,730 years.

Counting 2,730 years from 721 BCE brings us to approximately 2009-2010 CE – the very years when the world began to witness a great awakening among those returning to the Torah, embracing the Hebrew names, and rediscovering the Covenant of Yisra’El.

And what began to happen in that window of time?
A worldwide explosion of Torah observance, the rise of the Hebrew Roots and Messianic movement, and the restoration of the Name (שֵׁם – shem) of YaHuWaH across the earth. The scattered ones – long called “Gentiles” – began to realize who they truly are: the lost sheep of the House of Yisra’El.

The Hebrew word for “lost” in Hoshěa 4:6 (“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”) is אָבַד – avad, meaning to perish, be cut off, wander away (Klein). Ephrayim was not destroyed, but misplaced – hidden among the nations until the appointed time.

Coincidence? Never. YaHuWaH keeps time perfectly. He said Ephrayim would be punished for 2,730 years – and then the curse would lift. That means the exile is over. The Ruach (Spirit, Breath) has begun the final regathering.

The Restoration Has Begun

Ephrayim is awakening to his identity and inheritance. The Hebrew word for “inheritance” is נַחֲלָה – nachalah, meaning “possession, portion, heritage.” It carries the idea of land and covenant promise. He is remembering the Torah (תּוֹרָה) – from the root יָרָה – yarah, meaning “to instruct, to shoot forth direction like an arrow.” The Torah of Mosheh – the covenant that never changed.

Our Jewish brothers (Yahudah – יְהוּדָה, meaning “praise of YaHuWaH”) have carried the Torah faithfully through exile, persecution, and dispersion. Yet now, their returning brothers – scattered among the nations – are being stirred by the same Ruach to return to the same Covenant.

This is not anti-Semitic – it cannot be, for Ephrayim himself is Semitic. The term Semitic comes from Shem (שֵׁם), meaning “name, renown” – the son of Noaḥ (בראשית‬/Bereshith 10:21-31). Both Yahudah and Ephrayim descend from Avraham through Yitsḥaq and Ya‛aqoḇ, who was renamed Yisra’El (יִשְׂרָאֵל) – meaning “he who strives, perseveres, or rules with El” (BDB, Gesenius). To deny Ephrayim’s return is to deny YaHuWaH’s covenant faithfulness.

We are not claiming superiority – we are proclaiming restoration (שׁוּב – shuv, “to return, to restore, to bring back to the original place”). We are not replacing Yahudah – we are rejoining him. The lost tribes, who became “Lo-Ammi” (לֹא עַמִּי – not My people), are now hearing the voice of their Shepherd (רוֹעֶה – ro‘eh, “one who tends, feeds, and protects the flock”) calling them home:

And it shall be, in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ they shall be called, ‘You are sons of the living El.’”
– Hoshěa (Hosea)‬ ‭1:10‬

Ephrayim’s awakening does not come with arrogance, but with gratitude and zeal – a passion for the Torah, for the Name (Shem) of YaHuWaH, and for the restoration of the whole House. The returning ones will naturally ask questions, challenge traditions, and seek the purity of the Word – not out of rebellion, but out of love for Truth.

So yes, I observe the Torah as it is written – in Hebrew – without additions, without subtractions, without rabbinic or church influence, to the best of my ability and understanding.

According to the Torah, and by covenant, I am of Yisra’El every bit as much as my Jewish brothers – because I choose the Covenant (בְּרִית – berith, “to bind, to cut a treaty of blood relationship”) that defines Yisra’El. I choose obedience to YaHuWaH, the Elohim of Avraham, Yitsḥaq, and Ya‛aqoḇ. I choose to walk as Yahusha walked – in the Torah, in love (אַהֲבָה – ahavah, “to give, to breathe after, to cherish”), and in faithfulness (אֱמוּנָה – emunah, “steadfastness, firmness, reliability”).

Ephrayim is rising – not to boast, but to bless (בָּרַךְ – barak, “to kneel, to extend benefit or favor”). Not to divide, but to be restored. Not to replace, but to reunite.

In those days the house of Yahudah shall go to the house of Yisra’El, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers.” – Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah)‬ ‭3:18‬

YaHuWaH is fulfilling His Word before our eyes. The sticks are being joined in His hand. The family is coming home.

Ephrayim – your time of scattering is complete. The 2,730 years have been fulfilled.
RISE UP, HEBREWS – your Redeemer calls you home.
