What It Means To Trust ABBA YaHuWaH

There is a growing problem in the Hebrew Roots and Torah-keeping community: infighting, strife, and division. Believers are wounding one another with harsh words, name-calling, and suspicion, turning away from trust in ABBA YaHuWaH and turning inward in bitterness. This disunity is grieving the Ruach and damaging our witness to those seeking truth in Messiah Yahusha.

My wife and I have been hurt. Friends of ours have been hurt. And as we returned to fellowship, we’ve seen the same story over and over again, especially on platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp. People say things like, “We can’t trust anyone anymore!” And so, walls go up. Hearts grow cold. Discernment is replaced by distrust. And we become divided.

The Root of the Division

At first, I thought this was just a tactic of haSatan, to get believers to take their eyes off of ABBA YaHuWaH and onto their flesh and circumstances. But I’ve come to see something deeper: ABBA is allowing this season of strife.

He is letting the impurities in our hearts rise to the surface, just like dross in the fire. Why? Because He desires a refined people, a bride that is clean and set-apart. A people who trust Him, not themselves.

Fire Reveals What’s Inside

Whenever ABBA allows trials, misunderstandings, or conflict, our first response is often, “Woe is me!” We become offended. We lash out or shut down. But this is the very moment we must stop and ask:
What is He trying to show me in this?

Division is one of the enemy’s most powerful weapons. When the body of Messiah Yahusha is torn apart by offense, it becomes disheartened and ineffective. Yet ABBA has given us all gifts, gifts for exhortation, encouragement, and building up one another in love. If the body is disconnected from the Head, it cannot function in unity.

The Call to Trust

Scripture warns us not to trust in princes, riches, or even our own hearts, for all these will fail. But those who trust in ABBA YaHuWaH will not be shaken.

But what does trust really mean?

Trust is not carelessness. It’s not passively saying, “It’ll work itself out.” It’s not drifting through life with a vague hope that things improve. And it’s certainly not shutting our eyes and pretending everything is fine.

What Trust Really Looks Like

True trust is active.
It’s a deliberate choice, a fixed state of heart and mind that acknowledges our need and ABBA YaHuWaH’s sufficiency. It anchors us when emotions rage and the winds of life beat against us. Just like a ship with its anchor firmly planted, we may feel the waves, but we will not be dashed upon the rocks.

Trust does not mean denying danger or pretending all is well. It sees the storm, the pain, the betrayal, and then it lifts its eyes and sees ABBA YaHuWaH above it all. He is greater than our emotions. Greater than our wounds. Greater than the person who hurt us. And greater than the fear trying to paralyze us.

Trust Drives Out Fear

There is no fear in trust; they are opposites. If you are gripped by fear, you are not fully walking in trust. Fear torments and keeps the soul agitated. It haunts people daily, fear of trials, people, loss, failure, and even the enemy.

But when we choose to trust in ABBA YaHuWaH, fear gives way to shalom. We gain a calm assurance that He sees, He knows, and He is present with us in the fire.

That doesn’t mean we’ll never be startled or shaken. But when fear comes, trust reminds us:
ABBA YaHuWaH is here. He is faithful. He will never leave us.

Final Exhortation

If you’ve been hurt by others in this walk, you’re not alone. But don’t let bitterness steal your vision. Don’t let division separate you from your purpose. And don’t stop trusting in the One who called you out of darkness.

We are in a refining fire. ABBA YaHuWaH is purging the dross. Let us not point fingers, but humble ourselves and anchor our trust in Him. Only then can we be vessels of healing, not division, in the body of Messiah Yahusha.
